Whoever walks out to take the physical education period this afternoon. They are the only part of this system that touches every child in it, and they have been given the least to work with. Everything we make is aimed at them.
The name
Gati, motion. Pravah, flow.
Motion and flow. The two words together describe something a country either has or does not: movement passing through a system without getting stuck.
India’s gets stuck early. A child moves freely at six, is taught almost nothing about how to move at eight, and by fourteen has either found a sport on their own or stopped. The competitive structure above that point works, and it is waiting for people who never arrive.
Our work sits lower down, at the point where a period exists, a teacher is standing in it, and nobody has given them anything to teach from.
How we work

The teacher is the user we design for
We build without assuming anything either way about the training of the person holding the phone. The same lesson card has to be usable by a specialist who wants it out of the way in ninety seconds and by a maths teacher who has been handed the period and would like to know why the warm-up is that one.

A number on a plan has to be exactly right
Period counts, mark distributions and strand ratios are apportioned in code with a largest-remainder method, and verified across every year shape from 12 to 48 weeks. Independent rounding loses a period on some of them. A plan shown to an inspector cannot be approximately right, so the arithmetic is never handed to a language model.

The machine writes prose, and stops there
AI writes unit titles, learning outcomes and safety notes. It does not choose the teaching model and it does not do the sums. Asked to pick a pedagogy, a language model returns the same one nearly every time, whichever its training data is thickest in, which would defeat the point of having ten.

It has to work outdoors, on a phone, in the sun
Controls large enough to hit while holding a whistle. Hard black edges, because soft grey shadows vanish in daylight. States named in words as well as coloured. And a microphone that is never load-bearing: the transcript stays editable, so a mis-heard name is just a correction.

We write down what does not work yet
The fitness battery implements six of CBSE’s eleven prescribed tests. That gap is in the product documentation, on this website, and in the commit history. A school that finds a limitation on its own, after being sold around it, is right to stop believing the rest.
What we do not claim
THE MARKS ARGUMENT IS THE WEAKEST ONE WE COULD MAKE
The research on physical activity and academic attainment is real, and the effects on marks are small. The large, consistent findings are about behaviour, engagement, and how much of a period is actually spent moving, which is precisely where lesson design has any reach at all. We would rather be useful about that than impressive about the other thing.
